HONG KONG CHINA CONFIRM MEN'S AND WOMEN'S XV SQUADS FOR ASIA RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP DOUBLEHEADER

31st May 2024

Hong Kong China have named men's and women's 23-player squads for tomorrow's Asia Rugby Championship 2024 doubleheader at Hong Kong Football Club. Tickets are still available, priced at HKD $100 which provides access to both matches. Click here to buy now.

In the opening match of the men’s championship, Hong Kong China take on newcomers the UAE, as the tournament expands to four teams in 2024. Following an away trip to Malaysia next Saturday (8 June) the team will finish the campaign back in Hong Kong on Saturday 22 June, with a mouth-watering clash against Korea – as our men’s XV go for a fifth consecutive ARC title.

In the women’s championship, the tournament hosts Hong Kong China will be battling it out with Kazakhstan for this year’s runner-up spot. This follows Japan’s victories over Hong Kong China (29-12) and Kazakhstan (64-0) which saw a talented Japanese Sakura side defend the ARWC title. If our women’s XV win on Saturday, then they will play in WXV3 this September and October – and benefit from a pathway to RWC 2025 qualification.
