The final round of the 2025/26 Nan Fung Group | AIRSIDE Hong Kong Premiership was completed over the weekend, and all of the teams set to compete in the Grand Championship semifinals for this season were confirmed, as well as the Men’s League Champions, which went down to the wire in a competitive season.
The Societe Generale Valley RFC Women had wrapped up the League in Round 14 and will face 4th ranked Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Falcons in the first semifinal, while Kroll USRC Tigers Women, who were runner-up, take on 3rd-placed HKFC Natixis Ice in the second semifinal.
In the Men’s Premiership, the League title was won by HKFC Natixis Club after they beat Kroll USRC Tigers RFC 24-13, which was enough to clinch the title. The League winners will face Kowloon in their semifinal, and Societe Generale Valley RFC will host Kroll USRC Tigers RFC.
Stay tuned as we will be publishing semifinal previews this week before the matches take place on Saturday 7 March 2026.
Women’s Premiership
Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Falcons 12-26 Societe Generale Valley RFC
League winners Societe Generale Valley RFC made it 13 wins this season as they defeated Clement Shield/VetiVa Gai Wu Falcons in the final round, a result which means that the Gai Wu side ended 4th on the log and will face the same opponents in the semifinals.
The only loss Societe Generale Valley RFC endured all season was against the same opponents so this win to tee up next week's match will give them confidence.
For Gai Wu, they end the season with back-to-back losses after being defeated by the top two teams.
Causeway Sandy Bay 12-29 Kowloon Rugby Club
It was the final game for both teams this season in The Nan Fung Group | AIRSIDE Hong Kong Premiership, and it was Kowloon who came out on top, which means they overtook Causeway Sandy Bay on the table to finish 5th overall.
Kowloon opened the scoring through Sammy Spence before Causeway Sandy Bay’s Rebecca Davidson tied it up. The visitor’s Holly Terrebroom restored the lead with the side’s second try as they led 12-7 at the break.
Centre Davidson scored her second try in the game to tie it up for a second time, but Lily Chau on the right wing retook the lead. Gabby Rivers and a second for Sammy Spence sealed the win.
Kowloon were also celebrating several player milestones. Lily Chau, Dodo Chan, and Lau Ki Yan all became club centurions, and two additional players reached their 50th caps, Tsang Sin Yan and Hiutung Chan. It was also the final match for Lau Ki Yan, who is making the move to Australia after this season, having been with the club since 2013.
Kroll USRC Tigers Women 22-7 HKFC Natixis Ice
Kroll USRC Tigers Women capped off the regular season with their 11th victory of the campaign, one in which they only lost twice and head into next weekend’s Grand Semifinals brimming with confidence, where they will face the same opponents as HKFC Natixis Ice finished the season in third place.
Tigers had already cemented their position as the second-best women’s team in the Premiership last week.
The sole try and conversion for HKFC in this loss came from Zoe Teece and Lori Cramer, respectively, as they took the lead and led until the 32nd minute, but trailed at the break 7-12 after Yami Chan and Sin Yi Au Yeung crossed over for Kroll USRC Tigers Women.
The hosts pulled away in the second half, scoring an additional ten points, including a try for Tiyanah Joseph without response.
Men’s Premiership
HKU Sandy Bay RFC 35-23 Kowloon Rugby Club
Kowloon have endured a poor run of successive losses in the regular season, and they ended Round 15 knowing they had a semifinal berth locked in, but the loss meant they finished 4th overall. There was a return for Dylan White, who had missed recent League fixtures for Kowloon due to concussion.
The defending champions, HKU Sandy Bay RFC, who will relinquish their title, won at home for just their third victory of the season and ended 5th overall.
Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish 28-35 Societe Generale Valley RFC
Milwaukee Hong Kong Scottish ended the season pushing Societe Generale Valley RFC all the way in the final game, but came up narrowly short 28-35, after they were 7-14 down at the break.
There were tries for Valley’s Asipeli Vea and Levi Hazelton, both converted by Laurence May in the opening forty minutes. They added three more tries in the second period, including scores for Nicholas Brown & Paul Eti Slater.
In addition to their first-half try, Peter Jericevich, James Christie, and Dean Squire crossed the whitewash for the hosts in the second half in the loss, which saw the side finish 6th in the Premiership.
Valley RFC's victory means they end the regular season with back-to-back wins, but it was not enough to reclaim the top position they lost to HKFC; it did secure them second place overall.
Kroll USRC Tigers RFC 13-24 HKFC Natixis Club
The win for HKFC Natixis Club away from home confirmed their status as the 2025/26 Nan Fung Group | AIRSIDE Hong Kong Premiership League winners and gives them momentum heading into the Grand Final Semifinals. They won 12 of the 15 matches and only lost twice all season.
Kroll USRC Tigers RFC fullback Shiven Dukhande opened the scoring for the hosts but a penalty for HKFC and a try for Quintony Ngatai put them ahead but it was 10-10 at halftime.
A Jackson Cook try and a second score for scrumhalf Ngatai secured the win and the League title.
For Nigel Hotham’s Kroll USRC Tigers RFC, he has overseen his team claim 8 wins this season, which is a huge improvement on the one win last term, and they have given themselves a chance to go all the way by reaching the semifinals by finishing third.
